I’ve spent decades researching and experimenting with biohacking protocols. I’ve learned that the best approach to longevity and performance is proactive, not reactive. You don’t wait until systems fail. You optimize before declining becomes irreversible.
I’m heading to Costa Rica to undergo a series of advanced protocols at RMI (Regenerative Medicine Institute). These protocols are designed to optimize cognitive function, enhance physical performance, and support my body’s regenerative capacity at the cellular level. RMI’s treatments represent the convergence of regenerative medicine, neuroscience, and cellular therapy. They’re not experimental. They’re evidence-based interventions that target the root causes of aging and cognitive decline.
Most people don’t even know these options exist. I want to share exactly what I’m doing and why, because if you’re serious about performance and longevity, these are the kinds of interventions worth knowing about.
First up is the Cognition Protocol. This is a 5-day intensive protocol designed to target brain fog, memory decline, and cognitive performance issues. The protocol starts with precision mapping using a neurological assessment and brain MRI to identify areas of reduced neural activity.
Here's how it works:
Therapeutic Plasma Exchange (TPE): Think of this as a biological reset. TPE removes inflammatory molecules and harmful proteins from my blood that can interfere with brain function. This clears the way for the rest of the protocol to work more effectively.
The Neurostimulation Stack: Over three days, I’ll undergo five sessions combining three modalities that work synergistically to improve brain connectivity and neuroplasticity:
TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) uses targeted electromagnetic pulses to modulate brain cell activity and connectivity in specific regions of the cortex – the outer layer of the brain.
LIFU (Low-Intensity Focused Ultrasound) delivers precise acoustic energy to deep brain structures without surgery, enhancing brain cell function and clearance of cellular waste in those individually selected targets.
PBM (Photobiomodulation) uses external high-power-near-infrared light to improve brain´s blood-flow andmitochondrial function in brain cells.
The MSC-LIFU Breakthrough: This is where it gets really interesting. I’ll receive an intravenous infusion of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), which support neural health and reduce inflammation. But here’s the key: RMI uses LIFU to temporarily open the blood-brain barrier at targeted locations, allowing a higher concentration of these regenerative cells to reach the specific brain tissues that need them most.
The entire protocol is non-invasive. You stay awake and comfortable throughout all sessions. These treatments complement existing care rather than replace it.
Beyond the brain protocol, I’m receiving combination infusions that include both MSCs (mesenchymal stem cells) and MUSE cells (multi-lineage differentiating stress enduring cells).
MSCs are well-researched for their anti-inflammatory properties and ability to support tissue repair. MUSE cells are a specialized subset with unique regenerative capabilities. Together, they create a powerful systemic effect throughout the body.
Your skin is your largest organ, and it reflects what’s happening inside your body. RMI combines microneedling and laser treatments with MSCs and MUSE cells to support collagen production, reduce signs of aging, and enhance overall skin health.
This isn’t cosmetic for vanity’s sake. Healthy skin indicates healthy cellular function. When you support your skin at the cellular level, you support systemic health.
The Enhance protocol uses shockwave therapy with stem cells to support blood flow and tissue health to the penis. Sexual function is a biomarker of overall vitality, so maintaining it matters as you age.
Not everyone needs this level of intervention. But if you’re dealing with cognitive decline, chronic inflammation, joint pain, or simply want to optimize your body’s regenerative capacity, these kinds of protocols might be worth exploring.
RMI specializes in personalized medicine. They don’t use one-size-fits-all approaches. Every protocol is tailored based on comprehensive diagnostics and individual health goals.
If you want to learn more about RMI and their protocols, submit your information to have an RMI specialist contact you about whether these treatments might be appropriate for your situation.
I’ll be sharing updates throughout this process on my Instagram @dave.asprey. Stay tuned.
